On a very wet and early Sunday morning City were the visitors and no sooner had they arrived on the pitch and it was kick off time.

Hutchie tried to dominate from the start but in a very busy and hard fought midfield there were no clear cut chances although Lewis r was a constant threat up front.

Hutchie had the better of the play and possession with only a goal missing from the play ,as the half was nearing the end a great cross was met on the volley by Kevin which seemed a certain goal but the City keeper produced a truly magnificent save to tip the ball over.

City only managed a couple of breaks but failed to hit the target in the half.

Half time 0-0

Second half resumed with the same pattern but just as it was looking as though a goal would never come a scramble in the box resulted with the ball eventually arriving to Ben who refused to be stopped and prodded the ball home from close range 1-0.

Mark and Lewis both went close with City now searching for the equalizer , they came close but their forward put his shot in the side net , with another Hutchie attack Harry flashed a shot from outside the box which left the keeper with no chance  2-0.

Chances came and went but in the pouring rain there was no further score as our defence held out.

Full time 2-0

A welcome victory played with more confidence and possession against a good footballing side who never stopped trying , played in an excellent manner , a mention too for the ref who also had a good game and  managed to keep the game flowing  along nicely in the downpours

A big improvement on the team performance with a lot of hard work put in by the lads on the pitch
