SUBS- Jaxon ,Mark
Well the quick version is we lost 3-2 and especially in the first half
was probably as poor as Hutchie have played all season.
Congratulations to City on the result as despite their nonstop long ball
tactics , the result was all that mattered and City
played to their strengths and good luck to them
With their first punt of the day their forward was put clean through , our defenders had given him to much space but as
Jordan and Chris went to block the shot he completed miss hit it and
wrong footed everyone and amazingly left him with a tap in to the empty net
1-0.
Against a team that had so many players who could kick the ball long and
hard conceding free kicks within 30 yards was always going to be a problem, a
free kick was given about 25 yard out and was duly dispatched high into the net
2-0.
Soon after same again with the same result 3-0 and not a pass had been
played by either team , this was especially hard to
watch for us as passing is the normal hutchie game .
Half time 3-0
Chris H was unable to continue and Jaxon came
on with a reshuffle of positions , Hutchie at last started to pass the ball
better and City were pinned in their half apart from their continual punts out
, from a deep cross Kevin managed to side foot the ball home 3-1 and game on
now.
Jason was then unable to continue and Mark replaced Jordan who then
swapped tops and took up the right back slot( who did superbly in his outfield
treat ) this just seemed to make Hutchie try even harder and shots and crosses
were now all coming toward the City goal , then a free kick to hutchie was
blasted home by Jamie C 3-2.
A mistake in defence almost let their forward
in but Mark saved well.
A great cross field pass by Kevin put Jaxon clean through but unfortunately he could not convert
the chance and the keeper came out well to collect the ball.
With time running out Jamie C appeared to be brought down in the box but
despite the cries of penalty the ref moved the ball back to outside the box , the resulting free kick was blasted high and wide.
Lewis S and Connor both went close with long range shots and from a
corner a header by Kevin looked goal bound but the keeper was placed well to
collect it, in the last minute a shot by Jamie C flashed a shot across goal but
it went inches wide
A bad result and a poor first half performance but as other results have
shown good football does not always win games
