After last week’s defeat it was good to return to a decent size football pitch and it was obvious from the size of our opponents this was likely to be a tough encounter

Straight from the start NBC were pushing forward and were causing lots of problems with their size and speed advantage and there were a few early scares on the Hutchie goal  although nothing on target.

Hutchie started to match our opponents and the match was now ebbing from end to end , a great move ended with Harry smacking the bar but NBC also had chances but poor finishing meant nothing on target , then Mark smashed a shot from just outside the box which seemed to take their keeper by surprise and it flashed into the top of the net 1-0.

The tackles !! were now flying in and not sure what they had against Kevin but he seemed to receive most of them , the ref handled it well although perhaps a card may have calmed them down a bit more.

NBC were pushing hard but the lads were all working hard to keep them out and some great defending kept them out

Half time 1-0

Second half was more of the same with NBC seemingly unable to break through and on the occasion they did Gregor saved well ,

Jamie C unlucky when he broke through only to round the keeper and then amazingly his shot hit the inside of the post and came out to safety , minutes later the same only this time the outside of the post

As frustration wore on for NBC they through everything into the match but Hutchie held on for a hard fought victory

After the disappointment of last week it was great to see the lads getting a good victory against a very good strong NBC team who played nothing like a 2^nd division team
