Scottish Cup round 4 Home 23 Nov – Wardie 14s V Girdle Toll

With the late kick off we had to move to Wardie with a 2pm ko,

Subs- Sean,Rob,Wayne,Dylan,

On a decent pitch and good support there was a good atmosphere for the game, just as well as it was getting colder by the minute.

From the start it was clear to the pattern of this game , GT were focused on their direct approach and Hutchie trying to play the passing game

This resulted in a first half of little chances , although as normal for Hutchie,  GT from an early corner the unmarked GT player powered a header over Gregor but Martin cleared it off the line.

From another punt the GT player raced clear but shot wide , from  one of the many strange free kicks given to GT they almost opened the scoring but the header flew over.

There were a few chances at the other end with Jamie,Mark and Harry but none troubled their keeper

Half time 0-0

Second half and with a few changes Hutchie at last started to take control and pinned our visitors in their half , half chances came and went but their keeper gathered them all with ease from a couple of free kicks from Jamie and Connor

From another corner Kevin almost opened the scoring but his shot flashed wide from outside the box, then Mark was put through but the keeper beat him to the ball , then with minutes to go another GT clearance left the GT forward clean through but his shot smacked off the post and went wide,

Rob almost got the winner in the last minute but yet again their keeper saved well .

Think the less said about the ref the better and a replay away awaits us in a fortnight
