Round 1 Scottish Cup    Easthouses u13 s V Hutchison Vale u13s

EASTHOUSES U13'S 0-HUTCHISON VALE U13'S 14

Hutchison Vale under 13's met Easthouses under 13's in the first round of the  Scottish Cup at a rather windy and winters day like  Easthouses.

Both sets of players lined up on what was a considerable slope to the Easthouse home pitch.

Hutchie kicked up the slope first half and were up against the swirling wind.

From the off Hutchie looked assured and were passing the ball relatively well, it was not long before the gathered crowd witnessed the first goal a cracking curling free kick from 25 yards by Ethan. As soon as the ball left his boot it was destined for the net. The keeper could only watch and had no chance such was the quality of the strike.

The second followed soon thereafter Callum played a through ball to Ethan who took a touch before hitting a shot which the keeper did well to block, Callum had continued his run into the box, the ball fell kindly to him and he struck a shot high into the net. 2-0.

Ethan was again involved in no 3 providing a delicate chipped cross onto David's head. 3-0.

Reagan scored an opportunist fourth spotting the keeper off his line and sending the ball into the empty net from 20 yards or so.

No 5 was a team effort, Gary burst over halfway fed David who squared to Ethan, with his back to goal Ethan rolled the ball into Callum's path and he made no mistake from around 8 yards.

The sixth was a lovely through ball from Alex which Ethan accelerated onto side footed the keeper and hit it as hard as he could into the top corner. ( a few relieved people on the Hutchie sidelines as it looked like he had put it past !)

Another ball down the centre found David who outpaced the defence before striking a shot the keeper could only get a hand to into the net. 7-0.

Ethan finished off an impressive first half display from him, he anticipated the defenders mis placed header leaving him one on one with the keeper, he coolly slotted low to the keeps right.

As much as Easthouses tried they found a very motivated Hutchie team hard to break down when the ball did get into a forward position Sam and Brandon were on hand to break up play and re start a Hutchie move by their accurate wide passes to the flanks.

Half time 8-0.

If the first half was an impressive display from Ethan the second belonged to Murray. He was exceptional. Scoring four goals.

The first was a volley after the defender header spun in the air from a whipped in corner.

Murrays's second was a ball over the top a lovely first touch left Murray one on one with the impressive second half sub Easthouses keeper, he made no mistake. 10-0.

Murrays hat trick  was all about anticipation he collected the goal kick drove into the box and placed a shot accross the face of the goal into the net.

No 4 from Murray and 12 for Hutchie was another cool finish from just inside the box.

Lewis was the provider of no 13 he collected the ball and showded good strength before delivering a perfect cross to Reagan who made no mistake with the header.

The scoring was ended by a powerful sean streike from outside the box which flew past the keeper.

Easthouses kept batteling away and were unlucky not to score near the end with a shot that just went high and wide.

A good performance from the boys and we are all looking forward to the next round.
