March 16^th Versus Newcraighall , League

The good news was the match was on the pitch was fine and it was dry , the last shock was the fact it was a League match as well,

The match itself had very little to  report on our visitors appeared to be content to playing in their own half and hoping for a lone breakout ,their goal seemed untroubled throughout the first half as was our goal .

The respective defences were well on top with neither team registering a shot on target, and neither midfield able to create a chance. In the last minute of the half Lewis R was pushed from behind and went crashing down , the ref pointed to the spot immediately.

Jamie C stepped up but the best I can say is he  side footed it wide , very wide ,

Half time 0-0

Hutchie at last began to pressure the NCH goal now and from a deep cross the NCH keeper dropped the ball right at Lewis R who calmly slotted home 1-0

NCH were now forced to attack more and came close from a header and always carried a threat and were now gaining more possession and control in midfield .

Connor came close but his shot bounced off the bar and over , Kevin smashed a shot but it flew over the bar , Sean and Lewis R were now causing there defenders problems as Hutchie went looking to finish the game off.

Then from a corner Jamie C who seemed determined to make amends slammed the ball home 2-0 .

Shortly after with NCH  struggling to clear their lines the ball somehow found its way to Jamie C at the back post who tapped home 3-0

Full time  3 – 0

A win , but hopefully if we can get a run of games together the normal passing game will return
