Well our first match of summer !!! freezing , gails and driving rain superb !!!!
Line up – Jordan,Matthew,Chris
G,Daniel,Chris H,Sean,Harry,Ben,Kevin,Lewis
R ,Jaxon
Subs-Mark,Connor,Jamie T,Jamie C,Jason
Despite the conditions both
teams tried their best throughout the match to play football and we tried our
best not to freeze to death
Anyway the wind was blowing
from one side of the pitch to the other so no real benefit to either team .
Hutchie began shooting down
the slope with the first half played
mostly in the Tynecastle half of the pitch it was therefore surprising that
their keeper was never really troubled , a good turn and shot by Jaxon flew over the bar,Harry had
a good run but his shot went wide, Lewis R burst through the centre but the
keeper came out well and blocked his shot and Kevin’s long range follow up shot
whistled past the wrong side of the post.
Numerous other half chances
arrived and Tynecastle also had some dangerous breaks and corners but never
managed a shot at Jordan’s goal.
Half time 0-0
Second half began with
Hutchie pushing for the all important opener as were Tynecastle so the match
was now flowing from end to end , Connor
received the ball in midfield and threaded a great pass through to Kevin who
sped past and then held off the defender before firing a superb long range shot
high into the net , 0-1 much to the joy and relief of Hutchie.
The joy was short lived as 5
minutes later the defence failed to clear and as the ball was crossed over the
Tynecastle forward got to the ball first and fired home 1-1
Almost straight from the
restart and before Tynecastle had settled Kevin intercepted a pass and released
Jason on the wing he cut inside and passed to Lewis R who calmly curled his
shot low into the corner 1-2
Minutes later from another
corner as the ball came out a drive from Kevin was blocked and as it came out
Harry somehow managed to get a shot in which caught the inside of the post and
it dropped in 1-3.
Tynecastle were by no means
out of this and from a break out their forward fired a shot which beat Mark but
hit the inside of the post and rolled along the line and from the resulting
scramble he shot high and wide.
Tynecastle were now pushing
forward and from a corner a shot flew just wide but our defence was holding out
and it was no surprise when a good break found Connor on the right he shot but
it came back off the bar it fell to Jason and with everyone expecting the cross he slammed it low into the corner to make it
1-4
Full Time 1-4
Hard / terrible conditions
for both teams but after the first half with no real clear cut chances , Hutchie played some good football to run out
comfortable winners in the end with some great finishes in the second half.
