Hutchie p[played their first Home game at Saughton Enclosure against West Lothian outfit Linlithgow.

Hutchie continued with last weeks team playing Todd Smith up front, Jack Hood in the right back position and Craig Newall moving into central defence.

The goals  came early and fairly easy for the home team.
SCOTT GRAY was first to counter tapping in from close range after good work from Todd Smith. Gray returned the favour setting up SMITH for the second.
Ross Brady turned provider setting up two goals for SMITH with fine deliveries from the left.

GARETH RODGER opened his account for the season with a great mazy run, leaving defenders lying in his wake shooting low from 12 yards.
GRAY scored his second from his favourate distance of 4 yards out.
CALLUM DONNELLY got in on the act running in and firing home Hutchie's 7th of the day, he added no8 firing home
Gray's cross.
Jack Hood carried the ball froward and set up SMITH for his 4th goal of the game. JORDAN GLENNIE and ROSS TIPTON hit no's 10 and 11 before the half time whistle blew.
HT 11 - 0

The first half was very one sided so the coaching team gave orders for the team to play two touch and that goals were only to be scored from headers or volleys.
Hutchie played some great stuff revelling in the wide open spaces of the enclosure.
DEAN CARSE hit 3 fine goals with a header, shot from outside the box and a lob, GRAY completed his Hat Trick with a shot from a bit further out than his first two!!!!

This completed the rout, again given the opposition its hard to gauge whether the early season form will improve against better teams. Confidence will be higher though, and all the new players are getting to know their team mates and the way the coaching staff like the game to be played.
Its also to be hoped the big open park at Saughton might suit Hutchie's football this season.
