This was the eagerly awaited derby match Versus the two finalists from last year who had been paired together in the 3rd round.

As soon as the whistle went it was clear the Hutchie boys were ready for this match and stormed forward at every opportunity , Tynecastle had no answer and were unable to get out of their half.

Shot after shot rained in on the Tynecastle goal , but a combination of bad luck, poor finishing and great keeping kept it scoreless, then at last the ball broke to Chris H in the box and he hit it with his right foot and it found the corner 1-0, this only seemed to encourage Hutchie to go for more and Lewis R and Jason both had golden chances to score but with an open goal in front of them both failed to hit the target although I think the new haircut had obviously effected Lewis R  who just couldn’t find the back of the net, and Lewis s whose shot came back of the inside of the post just couldn’t finish off the countless attacks.

Harry then made a great run and managed to hurdle the challenge and passed the ball into Lewis r who broke in the box and seemed to be brought down for a penalty but the ref waved play on, the ball broke to Jason who cut in and finished well with his left foot 2-0.

The ref  showed great leniency throughout by not showing a card as numerous challenges flew in , the dominance of Hutchie was unrelenting and Chris H  flashed a low shot into the corner 3-0,

Half Time 3-0

Second half resumed with the same pattern , more shots from Hutchie with the Tynecastle keeper who was their star man keeping the score down with a string of quality saves .

Tynecastle were now pushing forward and managed to threaten with Mark having to make a couple of saves , the game was now becoming more of a contest with the next goal either going to finish the tie or make it interesting, Hutchie always looked the more likely to score and as Harry broke into the box he was brought down yet again ! ! for a penalty,

Chris H stepped up and finished well for his hatrick 4-0, the game was now over and just before the end a challenge between Jason and the on rushing keeper , left Kevin with the ball who slotted home from distance with his right foot to make it 5-0

Full Time 5-0

A great team performance and probably one of the best from Hutchie so far this season
