At long last the lads were back playing football , their first match since the beginning of December
The pitch itself seemed in good condition but the amount of dog dirt on it was a disgrace

We welcomed Dan to the team for his first match playing alongside Kevin at the heart of our defence he acquitted himself well throughout the match

The match started with Hutchie looking by far the stronger at immediately pinned Armadale in their own half and it was no surprise when a great shot by Jamie C from outside the box found the net to make it 0-1.
The pressure was kept on and Jamie C fired an even better shot curling in the top corner to make it 0-2.
Armadale seemed to have no answer and Jason curled another high shot into the corner to make it 0-3 after 15 mins with all concerned thinking this was going to be a real hammering but a some slack defending left the Armadale forward clear to slot home 1-3 and this seemed to give our hosts belief that they were still in it and the match turned.
Armadale had a couple of  good chances but put two wide and Jordan was off his line well to save bravely  at the big forwards feet to keep them out

half time 1-3

Second half began and the next goal was going to be crucial with numerous chances for Hutchie but poor finishing and bad luck kept us out , then a break by Armadale and with their player seemingly yards off side he slotted home to make it 2-3.
It was clear at this point that playing offside in our half was pointless as the ref seemed to have abandoned this rule for the Armadale forwards
Chances were now coming at both ends with Hutchie hitting the woodwork twice, then a corner was headed home by Harry to make it 2-4
Minutes later Ben was caught in possession and appeared to be clearly fouled but the ref waved play on ! the ball was played threw and before Mark could come out the Armadale forward took a shot which rebounded of the post but landed at the feet of another Armadale player who fired home 3-4.
Armadale now pushed more players forward but our defence held out with some great interceptions and blocks.
Eventually the ref blew for full time

final score 3-4

A great start and then some sloppy mistakes with some poor finishing and bad luck which after the long layoff was no surprise made this far to close for comfort when it should have been over by half time but our first game back and a win .
