Match Report

First match off the season at last,  Versus  a very strong and well organized City team, City started the better and could easily have been two up in the first ten minutes but their Very large centre forward put his shot wide on both occasions.

City again came close from a free kick but Jordan saved well to prevent them breaking the deadlock, as the half wore on the Hutchie boys were settling in to the match and slowly but surely starting to dominate the match. Then out of the blue Mark turned and smashed a great shot from the edge of the box into the bottom corner 1-0 , the lads were now well on top and a great cross was met by Sam who nodded home  2 -0

The second half resumed with some strange offside decisions by the ref ! the least said the better.The lads were well in control now and the City attacks were becoming less frequent as our defense was solid to the end, the midfield battle was  now going our way with the work rate and determination of the boys becoming more impressive as the game went on, although to their credit City never stopped trying.

A superb long range free kick by Sam made it 3-0, followed quickly by Mark with a nice tap in and then Sam smashing it home to complete his hatrick to make it 5-0. A great start to the season
